Water Quality

The water quality committee is a subcommittee of the Lakes committee, whose one role among others, is to determine whether our Lake’s water is safe for recreational use, especially in our beach areas. The majority of the committee members have also been trained as Qualified Data Collectors (QDC's) through the Ohio Lake Management Society/Citizen Lake Awareness and Monitoring Program (OLMS/CLAM).

The responsibility of a QDC is to collect data on water temperature, water color, lake level, overall water quality, weather conditions at time of monitoring, and any other relevant observations.
