Water Quality

Water Quality Committee

Began in April 2015
Co-Chair- Chuck Farmer & Bill Wallace

The Water Quality Committee began in spring 2015 began collecting water sample data for water clarity and e-coli. A major task for this committee among others is to determine whether our Lake’s water is safe for recreational use, especially in our beach areas. Committee members are trained as Qualified Data Collectors (QDC's) through the Ohio Lake Management Society/Citizen Lake Awareness and Monitoring Program (OLMS/CLAM).

The committee has an ongoing dedication to the education and development of best practice solutions for our lakes water quality health.

****The most resent adding to the committees water quality testing data is a Dissolved Oxygen Meter. The meter will be used to monitor the healthiness of Lake Lorelei.  A matching grant of close to $500 from The Greater Lake Lorelei Water Improvement Corporation was used to purchase the meter.
